Complaint Review: One Direction Casting

Just as it was stated in the previous post, "Sarah James" texted me with a conference call number to call into, stating that I was selected as a finalist for the BET Hip Hop Awards hosting opportunity. She then described the position and said she would provide the finalists with the link to the website to register and she would then pick the talent. The position was said to pay $2,000 but the sign up fee was $99 and $40 per month there after. The site also stated that you can cancel and recieve a refund within 24 hours of registration; however we were told that our account must remain active in order to qualify for the position and recieve "payment". After several back and forth conversations, I was told that her assistant would be contacting me regarding the travel information and sizing (which never happened) She then stopped responding as the show date drew near, which is when I finally realized that this must be a scam.

Everything seemed up to par right up until a a week before the event. These people need to be stopped! It is apparent that this is not the first time they have done this and they are preying on young talent who are eager to pursue their dreams at all costs. They should not be getting away with this and I am now forced to take legal action.
