One Source Talent Shoe Store

Today was the day I was going to step out of my comfort zone and go for the 4 inch heel. I got invited via email to visit the One Source Talent Show Store and so I got up the nerve and headed down to the store. When I got there, there were a bunch of models walking around the store in everything from flats to 5 inch heels. It was very intimidating seeing such hot women in the heels I wanted, but like I said today was the day! My Mom was with me and we walked the aisles with the runway model attitude. I stop at the first pair that caught my eye........ bam! $495.00 so I quickly set them down. The next show in my sights were a little less and I decided to purchase them. I took out my credit card and slapped it on the counter and bam! It got declined. I was so embarrassed I could die. Here I was in a store full of fashion models and 40 or 50 other people buying shoes at One Source and my card declined. I stepped out of line and called the credit card company and they said it was a security thing, there had been some suspicious charges on my  card earlier that month.

Needless to say I put those heels on and that gave me the nerve to want to be a model myself. Even though the reason my card was declined was in no way the fault of One Source I still think the cashier could have been nicer and handled the situation differently. She practically snickered at me when my card declined. I stuck it to her when I went back up and it worked. Just a warning if you ever go into a shoe store and see a bunch of models don't worry they are all so very nice. They are there to help and show you what the shoes look like on you. I was talking to this one model and she said she wanted to be an actress too and I asked "how do you become an actress?" She said she went to this company to become a model and that is how she got the gig at the store. She said they also do acting gigs and she is going to start submitting herself to casting calls for acing like she did for modeling and she hopes to get more acting gigs.

Be very careful not to be too hard on a cashier when your card declines. If I would have given her a piece of my mind, I may have never had the chance to talk to the model and gotten the best advise ever on how to become a model or actor.
