Received a letter of denial for a loan application for $9,999.00. I did not apply for any loan. I feel this a scam to get you to call the phone number listed where they may trick you for your information and then try to get you a loan or sell your personal info. It also listed my credit score from TransUnion and already feel that they are using my information without my approval. Do not do business with an organization that has a process like this.

Another possibility...

There is more than one scam.  While you may be right, there is also a more logical possibility that should be a lot more concerning to you and has nothing to do with this company.

Perhaps someone has attempted to steal your identity, applied for a loan under your name and was denied.  If it is this case you have much bigger issues and possibly several accounts you don't know about.

You say that it is a trick for them to have you call them, well scammers sometimes put their number pretending to be a real company.  So in that respect if you did call them you would actually be calling the scammer.  This is why you ALWAYS confirm contact information like this outside of the letter.  In searching it appears that the number you did post is the actual phone number for this company.  If you ever find the number to be different, contact the company through the information you find not what is on the letter.  Let them know what you received and see if they did in fact send it or it was a phishing attempt.

It is very important that you pull your credit reports to verify that you do not have any other inquiries or accounts in your name you are not aware of.  If you do, it is very likely you are a victim of Identity Theft.  Where you will need to start to work on getting that cleaned up.  But the first thing to do is file an Identity Theft report with your local police and then contact the Credit Reporting Agencies and have a Fraud alert placed on your report.  This is free which is why you need to deal with the Credit Reporting Agenices directly, if anyone attempts to charge you they are also trying to run a scam.

Now, you say that a company shouldn't have opened up an account in your name without your approval.  You have just defined the problem if Identity Theft.  The fact is that if a person has enough information on your there is no reason a company would have to think that they were not you.
