In March, 2018 I contacted Pioneer Electronics regarding a known defect in my Pioneer VSX-51 receiver. I was contacted in a timely manner and referred to Shanice Smith in their Parts and Services department. When I contacted her, she informed me that the part was on order, should be in within 30 days, and that she would contact me. I later contacted her and asked if there was a faster way to get this taken care of. She told me that I could purchase a refurbished receiver at a discounted price. I got a RMA to return my old receiver, but I decided that I couldn't afford to purchase one. I waited for her to contact me so that my old receiver could be repaired.

After a couple of months, I contacted her again and asked her why I had not been sent information about repairing mine. She told me that she thought that I was going to get a new receiver, and she deleted me from her repair list. I told her that I couldn't afford to purchase the new receiver and she advised that I would be placed first on the list to get my old receiver repaired...That was back in June, and I still haven't had my receiver repaired. 

I wrote to her again in July and never received a reply.
