it had reached the end of the training class taught in greenville sc time to sign up. when I said I would talk to my wife one of the men was very beligerent told me if I could not make that decision I was not a man. then continued to tell me no one could teach me and he would not let them teach me anyway. I felt as though he had attacted me personaly  because I wanted to talk it over with my wife.

Abusive response to desire to talk with wife

#4Consumer Comment

I had a very similar response to Dave's.  I attended an Online Trading Academy 2-day session in Durham.  It sounded interesting, but wanted to talk it over with my wife as it was a nearly $20,000 commitment.  The leader there became very abusive and harangued me at length, insinuation that I was not a real man for wanting to confer with my wife.  It was very unpleasant!

If you choose to believe this your head must be in the clouds.  If you are the young man I was talking to before your boss so rudely started his attack on me, I found you to be understanding and a very nice man.  I am sorry that you work for such indignant excuse for a professional.  Your statement is that you would still love to work with me, however during your boss' verbal abuse on me he stated "none of my instructors would teach you" and that I was "unteachable."  When I left the seminar I felt so humiliated and angry that I immediately wrote my previous report, in what I hope will be a warning to any other potential customers.  In my 51 years of life I have never met such a condescending individual and his attitude toward me left me no choice but to write the first report, negative or otherwise, that I have ever made.  Normally I let things go but I was so upset by what occurred on this day that I felt like I had to caution anyone else who may interested.  If you choose to take this class take a tape recorded with you.  You may need it...

I am sorry to hear of Dave's Experience

This is the first that I have heard about how Dave was treated and I am very sorry that this happened. There must have been a misunderstanding as to what was communicated. The part of the conversation that I witnessed was not of the tone that is being described by Dave at all. Either way, it’s what he felt was being expressed and that is all the counts. Dave is stating now that he had to ask his wife about buying class and there is not a person on my team that would have a problem with that. I also remember Dave stating at the class that he was disabled and could not afford the class. I did leave the conversation after this was discussed. My assumption was that Dave had taken our advice and was going home to save up his money. I thought we had agreed that when the time was right financially for Dave, we could revisit the class which he was looking at. We had given Dave a $700 subsidy towards class to help with his situation and my understanding again was that he felt he would have the $300 needed with the subsidy within six to eight months for class. We will help Dave any way we can and I thought Dave understood that. Even if he had needed to ask his wife if he could pay the $300 for class that would have been cleared by me. It’s silly to think that all of this would have come about simply because Dave didn’t have $300. Either way, we will help Dave in any way we can in the future if he needs us.
