Onlingo ripoff fraudulent billing Suisun City California
company has an online offer for free spanish lessons and all you get you get billed for would be the shipping and handling. Upon looking at account, company had charged me $79.00 dollars for each lessons which they kept sending without my request. On their offer they had not indicated that you would be billed $69.50 plus the shipping and handling charges. Tehy had further not indicated that they would automatically send you one lesson every month untill you called them to cancell and in which you would not be eligible for a refund after thirty days and if you were eligible for a refund they subtracted handling fees and also the shipping fees. I tried to call customer service and it then that they gave me all this ionformation that i was not aware of initially. I asked to return all three lessons that are unopened for a refund and they declined my request.Companies like this take advantage of innocent people by luring them with attractive deals and not delivering the promised service. Onlingo finally decided to give me a refund of $40.00 from the third shipment only and thats all they could do. i feel it is very unfair that they do this to people and get away with it.It looks like explotation is the business they thrive in.

Hello Agnes,
We show that you placed an order on 5/19/06 for a subscription of the Onlingo program. At that time you were billed $6.95 for shipping and processing and you had a 10 day free trial. During that 10 day trial you were able to try out the product and decide if you wanted to continue with the program. If you decided that you did not want to continue you simply needed to cancel your subscription and return one of the cd's.
We never heard from you to cancel and therefore you were billed on 6/6/06 for the shipment which had been sent to you. Since we still did not hear from you to cancel your subscription or stop the shipments, your second and third set of lessons were sent to you on 7/1/06, and 7/26/06.
Per the Terms and Conditions which you had to agree to at the time of your order you would receive once shipment each month as long as your subscription was active. We heard from you to cancel this subscription on 8/11/06, and at that time you requested a refund.
You are correct that we have a 30 day return policy as outlined in our Terms and Conditions. When you called into Customer Support on 8/11/06 the last shipment we had sent you was still within 30 days and you had the option of either returning this shipment for a refund, or keeping this shipment for a partial refund of $40.00. You chose the $40.00 refund which was processed and your subscription has been cancelled.
Since your subscription has been cancelled no further shipments or charges will occur.
