Onrebate.com rebate ripoff refusing to honor $50.00 Plextor dvd burner rebate Miami Florida

on 12/14/05 I purchased a Plextor px-716al dvd burner from Micro Center in Columbus, Ohio. It came with a $50.00 rebate through onrebate.com. I filled out all information on the onrebate.com web site and then downloaded the rebate form. That seemed like an unnessary step.

I then filled in all information requested and sent rebate form in with all necessary documents. 1/23/05 I received an email stating that my status on my rebate request had changed and to log onto the onrebate.com web site.

After logging on the web site I was informed that my rebate was denied for insuffcient documents (incorrect upc). That is not correct as I emailed all upc labels from the Plextor box that were available (2).

I feel that this is a blatant ripoff by onrebate.com. I have bought many products and have used many rebate forms and know that all paperwork must be filled in correctly. I have never had a problem with any other rebate forms from other companys.

I emailed onrebate.com about my problem and dissatifaction. In response they said sorry that there is nothing that they can do.

This company is highly irresponsible. Buyer beware.

I receiving an email from Nadia Urdaneta of onrebate.com asking for my tracking #. After suppling the number to the requested email address my problem was resolved.
I would like to thank Rip off report.com for their invaluable help with this problem. I would also like to thank Nadia at onrebate.com for her quick and positive response to my problem.
