OnRebate.com - Tiger Direct rebate ripoff Refuse to honor a mail-in-rebate for flimsy rule that is contrary to industry norm Miami Florida
I registered with ONRebate.com to file a mail-in-rebate in December 2005. All the requirements for the rebate application were fulfilled. My tracking number is: QAN3WXWZCNACSEZZ
OnRebate.com refuses to honor my application on grounds that the the phone number provided is not registered at the address I submitted for rebate devlivery. They refuse to see reason after repeated phone calls.
This practice is contrary to all standards of the mail-in-rebate industry. I have submitter dozens of rebates before and never encountered rules as this.
This product was purchased from TigerDirect. On contacting them about this outrage, they defended the Rebate companies actions citing the same rule.

Dear Customer,
It is stated in our Terms and Condtions that the address on the rebate form must match either the shipping or billing address on the invoice to avoid fraudulent customers to claim more rebates than what they are supposed to.
If the address you provided on the rebate form is in fact correct then we will gladly make an exception as long as you can prove it.
