The usual story, of course. Purchased an item from TigerDirect.com with a rebate attached. To redeem the rebate you have to go to www.onrebate.com. Fill out all the information and they're supposed to send you an email to confirm everything.

This is where things start to go downhill, of course. Never recieved the email. Sent a test email to the same account to confirm it was working and it was. Went back to onrebate and typed in my email address and it said "There was a problem sending email, please try again."

Tried again with a different email with the same result. You're supposed to email them at 'noemail@onrebate.com' if you don't recieve your confirmation email. I tried that and the message bounced multiple times from multiple accounts. Wow. Can a company be more blatant that they plan to rip you off?

Called their direct number on Friday during my lunch hour and waited on hold for 30 minutes. Had to hang up the call and go back to work. Called at 3pm PST on Saturday and it said they were closed.

Called TigerDirect back and explained the situation and told them I'd prefer to just return the product and they said they wouldn't unless it was defective. I would have to speak with the manufacturer and get a "defective confirmation code" in that case. In addition, because I purchased a CPU without a fan at the same time, any warranty was automatically null and void. In other words, because of the way I purchased the item, they could have sent me a CPU that was broken in two and it would be my tough luck.

So now I'm stuck with the product and have invested over 2 hours just trying to file my rebate with no success and no way to return the product.

Thank you TigerDirect and Onrebate.com for so clearly explaining to me that you never want my business again.
