Complaint Review: OnRebate - Tiger Direct

OnRebate ripoff Fails to honor rebates NO SUPPORT Miami Florida

I purchased memory from Tigerdirect that had a $30 rebate. Upon submission of the rebate they quickly denied stating

"Your rebate for: $30 Rebate On The Select Ultra DDR Memory has been processed.
Your new status is: DENIED
Reason for denial: CONFLICTING DATA - REBATE INFORMATION DOES NOT MATCH INVOICE.
You will receive no further update on this rebate."

I inquired what didn't match and they sent this reply:

"We have looked into our records in an attempt to inform you of the status of your rebate application.
Here is your rebate tracking information that we have on file:
REBATE DENIED WK5GSJYUWDWPJ3ZZ
Reason: Conflicting Data - Rebate information does not match Invoice. The rebate has been denied due to the name and address on the rebate form and the name and address on the invoice does not match. In order for a rebate to be processed The address on your rebate application MUST match the address on the receipt or invoice. I do apologize for the inconvenience but at this time OnRebate does not accept resubmissions.

Unfortunately we are no longer accepting resubmissions. It is important to read the terms and conditions and follow the procedures to qualify. If you do not have the required documentation as stated on the rebate form you will be subject for denial."

I sent an email back simply asking them to send the rebate to the invoice address since that was the problem.

I received this response:

Inconvenience. Hardly consider that an inconvenience. It is a ripoff. Failure to pay a rebate. I was told Onrebate is a tigerdirect Company. After spending hundreds there, this is the support I get on a simple rebate! Thanks for NOTHING! You just lost another customer Tigerdirect!
