Complaint Review: OnRebate - Tiger Direct

OnRebate - Tiger Direct (11) Rebates totaling $360 Going Back to June 2006 Not Rec'd! ripoff Internet

I've been buying from Tiger Direct for years, and heavily using the rebates - it's worked quite well for several years now and I don't particularly mind filling out the paperwork. However, the OnRebate.com arm has *severely* slacked off this year; to date I have a total of eleven rebates pending for a total of $360 going back to the beginning of June (granted, the last three of these were September)

I keep meticulous records in a spreadsheet - and all emails, and I've gotten confirmations and approvals on every single one of them - in every case, I've received email that the check was either cut or about to be cut. On the very last one, they actually put a date - that my check would be cut 30 days after the date of the email. I still have NO checks.

I emailed them on 10/27 and 11/07 and rec'd no reply. I'm certainly taking my business (and my company's business) elsewhere, and my next step will be to contact the proper authorities.

I ordered a mother board cpu combo from tiger direct. The first page on the web site stated it is a 2.4 ghz, when i clicked on it, the second page popped up saying it is 2.2 ghz.

i phoned tiger direct and the salesman told me that it was indeed a 2.4 ghz and not a 2.2 ghz cpu so i ordered it.

when it arrived i find that it is 2.2 ghz, i phoned tiger to tell of my dismay and the salesman asked me if i can notice the difference between them.

I order many things from tiger and i find that 30% of them do not perform like they should, i find that items on sale dirt cheap are usually
flawed in some way, Tiger has proven to me 100%
that you get what you pay for.

I have many such stories of defective or flawed products i have bought from tiger direct, i believe they should be made to put a warning on
products they know are flawed or defective instead of putting a ridiculous low price on it to deceive the consumer and letting the consumer figure out for themselves the product is flawed.
