Complaint Review: OnSALE - X2Gen - Rebatesystems.com

I had the SAME experience as another reporter here (Matt) with Onsale + X2gen monitor + rebatesystems.com! I'm still waiting for my "approved" and "pending" $99 rebate.

I even asked Onsale if I could return it for a full refund, but they had a return policy of 30 days or something which I had already surpassed. I explained to the Onsale CSR that I would have NEVER even purchased the monitor from them in the first place had they not advertised this rebate. They won't take reponsibility for X2gen's failure, although THEY (Onsale) were the ones who took my entire payment with the promise of a rebate from the manufacturer (X2gen).

I have talked my head off and emailed and spent a lot of time. $99 is a lot to me and there were lower prices for monitors, but this rebate "sold me" to use Onsale to order the monitor. Everyone is blaming everyone else and no one is taking action to assure customer satisfaction.

I am very angry with their whole ripoff scheme as I think they are conspiring to attract customers to pay full price and come up with an empty promise. I think OnSale should pay me the 99.00 since I paid them full price for the monitor in the first place.

I ALSO purchased an X2Gen 17" monitor in March 2006 with a $99 rebate that has never come despite much pestering on my part. The rebate has been "approved" for months, but hasn't been sent to me.

It's now August 2006 and Onsale just gives me the run around when I call or email.

I've been pursuing the matter online with Rebate Systems, Inc., rebatesystems.com, but I'm getting the sneaking suspicion I've been had. Incidentally, Rebate Systems, Inc. has no phone number listed.
