We have been dealing with OOIDA Insurance "Commerical Truck Claims Management" for over 4 months now since one of their Owner Operator Members backed into our truck. It's really hard to believe that it is so hard to get what is due to us in claims for repairs, travel & out of pocket expenses. Also the income that we where out since the truck was in the shop for 2 weeks.

Their Claims Manager Chuck Johnston is a real s****.> It sure was far cry from being a Professional. OOIDA has yet to contact us or to do anything about this matter. And we thought OOIDA was out for the Owner Operators. We have seen now that OOIDA is like most other companies out there. All they want is your money. Since this has taken place Chuck Johnston has changed figures on the settlement each time he contacts our Attorney. We have provided each and every document the Mr. Johnston has ask for that show our expenses. Everytime we send what he ask for he ask for something else.

What it boils down to is Mr. Johnston is just trying to drag this out in hopes we will give up. We're at the point now that we are going to have to file a lawsuit. We see that there is know way this matter will get resolved other wise.
We could see it if we were asking for a large amount of money to settle this but we're only asking for the repairs, travel and out of pocket expense for someone else mistake.

Just a word of warning, beware of OOIDA Owner Operators. The Insurance that covers them "Commerical Truck Claims Management" is something you don't want to deal with.
Words cannot explain the nightmare we've had to deal with. And we still have not heard anything from OOIDA after several attempts to contact them via phone & E-mail about this matter. I even called the Manager Chuck Johnston of OOIDA Insurance "Commerical Truck Claims Management".

He would not take my call. I was told that my Attorney would have to contact him. We're learning just how the OOIDA operation works. Sure not impressing us at all. It's hell to be treated like this and the accident wasn't even our fault.
Question: President & CEO of OOIDA is Jim Johnston. The Commerical Truck Claims Management Claims Manager is Chuck Johnston. Just wandering if these two are related? May be why we haven't heard anything from OOIDA?
