In April I tried to cancel an account. I was told that I couldn't cancel the account for a year. So I waited. I also tried to transfer the domain to GoDaddy and they were unable to do it due to Open Source Host not cancelling the account. I got charged again (apparently for a different service associated with the acct) just the other day and I called to cancel. I spoke to Stacey Hedrick (Office Manager, Customer Service Supervisor, Billing Supervisor, and anything else you can think of - no matter who I asked to speak to, I was always directed to her at x9502). She told me I cannot cancel the acct. till next year. In fact, I had 3 separate accounts that I would be billed for, all with different dates of experation, and each one could only be cancelled at the end of the year-long billing cycle. 

I asked for my money back and she said she cannot do that. She had a very condescending tone with me. I had to ask for specific information on what charges I have during the year and when I can cancel those services. I find it hard to believe that I can't call on any day and cancel my account. Then I told her that I wanted my credit card information removed from their records so that I would not be automatically charged ever again.

I called back to speak to a supervisor and it turns out that she is the billing supervisor. I asked for the information (names and numbers) of her supervisor and she refused to give that information to me. She said she would give them a message. I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor right now and she said they weren't there, but that I could speak to a customer service supervisor "who will give you the exact same information that I just gave you." I've never heard of a company operating like this. I want my money back. I want my accounts closed permanently.

After I filed a complaint with the BBB, she said she was cancelling my accounts, but would not refund my money.  And even though I said I was unsatisfied with the resolution, the BBB marked my case as resolved.
