OpenLCR is supposed to automatically route each long-distance calls you make through the lowest cost carrier for each specific destination. In fact, I found out in my current bill that one of our long-distance call was routed through Global Crossing for $.27 a minute, and that was FROM CALIFORNIA TO ARIZONA! 27 cents a minute, how's that for low-cost?!

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO OPENLCR. If you buy a panasonic phone, you have the option to do that, which will make downloading your address book "easier" (which is why they conned me into doing it), but will also reroute your long-distance calls to providers they have contracts with, supposedly finding "low cost" alternatives to your own long-distance carrier.
DON'T DO IT!
