Paid for a used car on august 23rd. was told 200% guarantee they could get smoke smell out by pickup date aug 26th. When we went to pick up car it stunk, pieces were missing and gearshift was sticky, so we refused delivery.  We were given a hard time for 3 hours and left outside until after dark/closing waiting for a ride. 

$15000 payment had cleared on aug 24th.  We were told repeatedly that they had not deposited check until august 26th. On august 30th we called and asked if we could pick up refund on september 3rd. was told no problem, come in at 10am.

When we called morning of 3rd saying we would be 30 minutes late for appointment we found out the refund was not possible and salesman who promised it did not even ask for it until september 2nd and then did not call us because "we would be mad". We had to drive an hour there again on september 4th. 

If you have a 10 business day policy for refunds say "I'm sorry, this is our policy" do not say come in 9 days when you (should) know you cannot deliver.

2. Only promise what you know.

charging them higher interest rates on their loans, when they qualified for lower interest rates, in an attempt to make additional PROFITS because Toyota believes in defrauding the innocent consumers in the United States of America!



'Google' this for proof- BALTIMORE SETTLEMENT CALIFORNIA TOYOTA, and read the lawsuit filed by African Americans & Hispanics. 'Baltimore' is the last name of the main plaintiffs in that case. Mr. & Mrs. Baltimore are an African American couple, just like Barack Obama & his wife.

P.S. Anyone can 'Google' this- SLUDGE POEM, and read it. Toyota's CEO quit his position 2 weeks after that poem was posted about him here at Ripoffreport.com on 8-23-2007. Jim Press announced his resignation with Toyota on 9-6-2007. And only 3 days after a song was written about Jim Press & Toyota, he QUIT!
