I received a bill on my phone bill, from a call I allegedly made at 12:15 am on Dec 10th. I made no such call, and in fact I vaguelyremember something weird going on with my computer, although I could not for sure say what day. My ISP is atemting to ressurect records for me. I shut off my service and dialed back in. I was billed for two minutes at about 3.25 per minute. I suggest you all do a search on the internet on HOTBOT.com and put in the words OPTICOM scam or ZPDI scam. Both will return some healthy results.

The long and short of it, you need to be aware there are pirates out there, your phone company does not care and the government is overburdened and will only slap these puppies on the wrist. If this happens to you, call them and request

"from another posting"

Form 499A Filer ID and Registration Numbers (advice from someone on the RipOff website). I said there had been fraud and I was reporting it to the FCC. I was immediately put through to a supervisor who agreed to refund all the charges and gave me a confirmation number that I needed for my phone company. I then called my phone company, gave them the details and made sure my second phone line was changed to "toll restricted".

The above paragraph is not mine. But it is good info. I was only billed about 8 dollars, but I will fight it and also if this happens to you call ZPDI and request a separate bill so they cannot shut down your phone service. These people are bottomfeeders.
