First, I would like to say thank you, for taking time for reading my letter to you. I will try to be as brief and to the point as possible.

I was an Optimum Voice telephone customer (Cable Vision VOIP). I cancelled my service with Cable Vision on 3/14/06 and migrated my number to a company called Sun Rocket another VOIP telephone company. The problem that I am having with Optimum Voice is that anyone who still is with Optimum Voice cannot call my number and there are a lot of people that are with Optimum Voice. I could call people on Optimum Voice numbers, but they cannot call me.

I called Optimum Voice numerous times and asked them; please could you fix this problem because you have some sort of lock on my number. When ever someone tries to call me from Optimum Voice gets a recorded message saying that my number is disconnected. I then had my friends and family call Optimum Voice and complain about the problem and the answer they got was that you will never be able to call that number.

I never heard of such a thing in my life! Everyone else from a landline, any other VOIP and/or cell could call me except Optimum Voice customers. The reason why I am calling is because I called them 6-times documented and the last time they told me that I am not a priority because I am no longer with Optimum Voice. I cannot believe they said that to me. I was never late with any of payments not even once and this is how they treat me, I could imagine how they would treat other customers.

This is really unacceptable that I am missing phone calls because they refuse to unlock my number or fix the routing problem on Optimum Voices network. Please, please if you could help me with this matter I would really appreciate it.

Again, thank you, for taking time to read my letter.

It's not on purpose

Jim,
Sorry to hear about your problems. As a Cablevision employee elsewhere in the company, I can assure you that it is NOT on purpose. I and quite sure it is a technical glitch of some sort. The biggest problem is a failure to escalate your problem appropriately.

Here is my suggestion - I give it a 85% chance of working quickly. Go to groups.yahoo.com. there are user groups communities for both ool and ov, and probably io also.. I forgot my login so I haven't been there in more than a year. What I can assure you, is that several very high ranking (VP, SVP, EVP)Cablevision executives subscribe to this group. Posting your issues there is like talking directly to them. they subscribe because of their actual desire to make sure things like this don't happen.

Post a similarly professional posting up there, and I bet the $h1t will hit the fan @OV to get your issue fixed.

Good, post your results here.
