The original loan had been with Encore who transferred to option One.My mother was trying to stay a few payments ahead because of the nature her employment and nearing retirement.

I helped her by making many payments myself through my credit union and ultimately through the third party payment service provider Western Union.

In December my mother got a call saying she was late. Confused we confirmed a payment had been made but to be sure it was applied we each made another payment ( now there were 3 payments made). Again on the 30th of December we each made 1 payment( totaling 5).

A January, Feburary, and March payment were made as well. We skipped April as we were now 3 months ahead. Come May when we went to make that months payment we could not do so. After calling several times we got a return call telling we could not because she had been foreclosed on.

All payments had been cash. After a 3 month ordeal we contacted the AG's office in my state who began investigating. We even had statements from Option One showing in December payments not due til Feburary.

After several more weeks and months we are still trying to reverse this nightmare. I know this is not legal, consttutional or descent on their behalf.

Like so many people there seems to be now way out but to sell the home after 9 years and fight later. This is more than outreageous it is a gut wrenching ache that grabs at the core of one's soul.

This company even trys to act as if they are on the side of Good government by posting that on their web site. They need to be taught a lesson.
