I was a member at Orange Theory Fitness. I was on a month to month contract, which required a 30 day notice to terminate. Having just retired from professional soccer, this worked well as I was job hunting at the time. In Jiune, I received an offer as an assistant head coach for a womens soccer program at a Division I school, albeit in a a different state. 

I notifed Orange Theory in person (as required) that I would need to terminate my membership. The girl that I spoke with said she made an entry in the computer and it would terminate in 30 days. She said it would be finalized once the manager signed off on it. The next month I nioticed that I was chargedb $159.00 dollars, although my membership had been cancelled. This is a lot of money to me, as my coaching job only pays for my housing, while my parents assist me with living expenses until I find a second job. 

I immedaitely called Orange Theory and was told that they would refund the money but a manager had to approve it, and that he was hardly ever there. I called several times and was told I would receive a call from the manager, which never happened. On Sunday, September 17th, 2017 I called again, as I had still not heard anything. I got the same story, that a manager had to approve 0my refund and he wasnt there. 

Later that day, my father transferred some money to my account and when I went to make sure it had arrived, I noticed Orange Theory had once again debited my account, this time for $179.00. I asked my mother to call them, as I was travelling. 

My mom spoke to them and was told "Yes, I see the cancellation and other conversations with Brianna on the computer, looks like we are waiti9ng for manager to approve it. Still not getting any response, I called again on September 19th and was told I didnt give 30 days notice, which is untrue and even confirmed during follow up conversations by myself and my mother. This is ridiculous and is, in my opinion a very bad business practice. Please help!!!
