My name is Nikitta Lopezand my husband and I Carlos Lopez (who is the primary name on the account) have a 2011 Kia sorento through orbit leasing. We moved from Michigan to baytown TX which is about 5 minutes from Houston TX a couple of months ago. Im sure you may know that a category 4 hurricane name Harvey hit and has all of Houston TX and most of baytown TX under water, and for proof just turn on your radio or the news. There is information on baytown and Houston and the devastating event we are going through. I called the car company to see if we could get an extension on our car note for a couple of days or at least until Friday at the end of the business day. I was told no and that the car note has to be paid in the month it is due. I tried pleading with the lady asking her for sympathy considering the nature of our circumstances and she transferred to me Terry the supervisor. Terry told me the samething. I told her that my husbands job is completely under water but I am expecting a check to come in the mail as soon as the post office opens back up which should be tomorrow hopefully and I could pay it all then. We have two toddlers and a new born and my husband can't work if we do not have a car. She told me that we would have to find another way to get then because the car will be turned off tomorrow. I asked what about giving us until Friday. THATS ONE DAY AWAY BY THE WAY. To see if I can borrow it and she still said no. Texas, more importantly the area my family stays in is experiencing one of the most devastating natural event in U.S. history and we have no support. And her excuse for this was....well your our only Texas customers so we have no reason to set up any plans for the victims of hurricane harvey. I asked her if we paid $250 which is half the car note will that be enough to keep it on at least for a week and she said no again. Orbit leasing has no sympathy for the victims of hurricane Harvey more importantly for their valued customers. There is job opening for clean up crews that my husband is trying to do until his job is able to be reopened. But we need our car. Not to mention there is no telling how long my husband will be out of work and with no car..how long will it be before they come and repossess it ?? Even though we are trying by paying at least $250 of it. Of all the companies to work with hurricane Harvey victims orbit leasing is the first to not care at all. This is the type of respect they have for their customers.
