Orbitz Huge hotel commission rates- Book directly instead!! Internet
I've had a horrible experience with Orbitz after using them to book a hotel in Germany for a business convention. Upon receiving the hotel invoice by mistake upon check-out, I was shocked to discover it would've saved me over $550.00 to book directly through the hotel instead of through the Orbitz website.
After all the emails and phone calls with Orbitz, I'm basically told I agreed to pay the rate when I booked the hotel and that the hotel was in error for showing me their actual rates. I disregarded the option to receive a travel voucher since I no longer trust this company and their deceptive ways and have no intention to ever use them again.
Travellers beware!! Based upon my experience, you're better off booking hotel stays direct.
