Bought a trip to Las Vegas with wife and used Orbitz to book trip. We never booked with Orbitz so we decided to give them a first try. NEVER AGAIN!!! We decided to cancel trip right after we booked. We spoke to an agent over the phone who said he would refund us the full amount (hotel plus flight). We were on hold for an hour and they only refunded us the hotel portion and the agent coldly transfered us to another agent. The agents are from the Phillipines and it is hard to speak to somebody on the phone that you can understand. Agent refused to refund us even after previous agent said he would refund us. We spoke to agent after agent and supervisor after superviosr from the Phillipines with no success in getting our refund. We decided to take Orbitz to small claims court and we won a default judgment since Orbitz refused to respond to court summons. Orbitz kept sending emails about trip but we never took flight so Orbitz just took our money and we didn't even get the trip. Now it is in collections and Orbitz owes us $1,500 and has said to the collection agent that they will pay but has not. It will stay in collections and collection agent will keep seizing accounts and doing more harm to Orbitz unless Orbitz pays us what they owe. We spent money on a trip we never took, money on court costs and expenses, and now collections has spent money on trying to collect on it. Orbitz is a terrible company that doesn't honor refunds, uses foreign agents that don't honor anything, and breaks promises when they say they will pay something and don't. DON'T TRUST ORBITZ, THE PRICES MAY BE LOW BUT IN THE END YOU WILL GET SCAMMED!!!!
