OrbitzOrbitz.com ripoff of keeping my ticket refund after authorized by Scenic airline which cancelled the flight. Chicago Illinois

On May 13th I booked a flight through Orbitz for a new announced flight by Scenic Airlines from Reno, NV to Merced, CA on May 18th. The very next day Scenic called and said they were canceling all flights as they were not going to initiate this route.

My husband called Orbitz and through a conference call with Orbtiz's Customer Service Supervisor and Scenic's customer service rep, Scenic explained the situtation to Orbitz and authorized the ticket refund. Orbitz acknowedleged and said it would take two billing cycles for the refund to be processed, but they would only refund the ticket cost, not the processing fee. OK-we agreed and 90 days later - no refund.

On 6/21 I sent an email to Orbitz's customer service requesting status and stated they were processing it. Again on 7/25 sent email in which Orbitz responded stating Scenic was holding my refund so contact them. I called Scenic and they said Orbitz never paid them, so Orbitz still has the "Voucher" or the refund. Another call on 8/23 to Scenic tells me Orbitz has the refund so another email to Orbitz with no response to date. Orbitz charged my credit card instantly, but I get the run around and have to wait forever for my refund? WHY?
