I am in the Military and I called and asked for my account to be put in the Soldiers and sailors Act relief One supervisor tells me that I am eligable and the department that handles this case says I am not but Capital One did it for me and another one of my credit cards did it for me also. I faxed in a letter explaining why I should be able to have my account in the SSRC status and I also sent the letter I got from capital one stating that my account was in the SSRC status BUT Orchard bank still sayed NO. NOW WHY IS THAT?

I would like to get people together and start something against this company this is an outrage that this type of business is happening and no one is really doing anything about it I have been dealing with this same situation for about 8 months and now my account went to collections why do I have to deal with this. They will never give out phone numbers to any manager or anything and then when you ask to talk to a manager they want a GOOD reason and if you do not give them what they call a good reason then what are you supposed to do. ALSO THEY ARE REPORTING BAD ON MY CREDIT HEN I HAVE DONE SO MUCH TO KEEP A GOOD CREDIT STATUS what can we do about this I am up for going after them through the legal system if I have to.

One of the many unhappy customers. Also no one can say anything about read the fine print on this one because you show me where it says anything about Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act and I will show you in writting where it states that a military member has the RIGHT to Have his/her accounts proir to military enlistment and/or military re-enlistment is eligable for it, but this company refuses for some reason!

Did you make your request AFTER the account went to collections? That might be the difference.
