Complaint Review: Origin3.net

I paid this company $1,745.00 to create and host a Internet website for me.

The company never delivered a website and closed its doors on 12/25/07. They sent an e-mail on 12/20/07 stating the following: (It is a poorly written line of BS that you will easily detect as being such)

As we approach the new year, we at Origin3 have decided it was necessary to upgrade some of our services so that we can provide better support. As Origin3 has had considerable growth in the past year, we have discovered it was difficult to maintain superior customer service for our web hosting clients. Effective immediately, WebNet Hosting.Net LLC, a Maryland corporation has acquired all web hosting accounts and assets from Origin3.net. WebNet Hosting specializes in web hosting/ecommerce to provide you with great customer service and 24 hour support. WebNet Hosting will not make any modifications to your account and will assist all current customers with all the necessary web hosting support such as email issues, lost passwords, ecommerce, and or other associated technical problems that might arise in the progress of your site.

Please note that beginning on 12/26/2007, all charges for web hosting services will appear as WebNetHosting.Net LLC on your credit card statements, Origin3.net will no longer be charging your credit cards for web hosting services as of today.

Needless to say, the new company only purchased already finished websites and is currently hosting them for a monthly fee. If you had a website in the design phase that was never finished (published), you lost everything and you are beat.

I am considering a class action lawsuit so if you would like to contact me with your story, please do.

There was an article published in the Salt Lake City local newspaper about this company if you are also a victim and would like additional information.
