I found this group on Ebay, but they chose to handle my transaction outside of Ebay.  I now see how that was a double advantage.  They avoid selling fees, and I don't have any protection Ebay would provide me.  They advertise that they can fix Navigation/radio units that are origninal equipment installed by the car manufacturer.  Since my Navigation was failing intermitently, and a new one is around $1500, I took them up on their written offer to repair the unit for around $300.  Soon after they received the unit from me, they called to advise me that they couldn't repair it, and conveniently they had a reconditioned unit they could sell me for just under $1000.  I wasn't prepared to spend that amount, so I paid the $35 diagnostic fee they charge in these cases.  They did state in writing on their Ebay ad that if they couldn't repair the item that they would charge the $35.  The problem I have is that I purposely sent them my system WITH my Map DVD disc for the purpose of using it to check if the system worked for them when they repaired it.  I received my system back WITHOUT my disk.  I called them the next business day, and was told that the technician notes stated that he couldn't get the disc out of the system.  Forgive my skeptisim, since I know I put it in there and it came back as an empty slot, but if they are supposed to be a repair shop how do they not know how to eject a disc from a player???  Someone there insisted this was sent back with the disc in the unit since they couldn't eject it, but it was not in there.  He offered to send me a burned copy they had, and they did.  Therein lies the next level of doubt I have about these people.  It can't be legal to burn copies of these things.  They cost $170 for originals, and I'm sure they don't like to compete with home copied versions.  I also imagine that to disuade such activity that they copy protect them.  This would explain why it didn't even think about working when I tried it.  My system came back with disc read error immediately with this pirated copy from them.  My navigation unit worked for over 30 minutes a a time before it came back with a different error message, so their copied disc was the new problem.  Now I have paid $35, wasted 2 weeks, and am without my $170 map dvd disc I gave to them to use.  I suspect my system still has the intermittent navigation failure, so spending $170 for another map dvd dsic is not a sound investment.  They really take the cake.  They lie, they steal, and they don't seem to be able to repair things.  Other than that, there's no reason to have any concerns with dealing with them--Buyer beware!!!!!!!
