Complaint Review: Orlando Marketing Events

What a rip off! Total scam. Promises you "ownership". You end up paying out the a$$ from the day you interview till the day you quit. Hours posted is 9-6 which is cool except that they make you get there at 8:45. There's unpaid training that's mandatory. You leave for the field around 10 to go door-to-door and business-to-business selling people on windshields and leave the field around 6ish. Once back to the office, there's a mandatory "breakdown" of the day. It's when they go over all the crappy things that happened & fluff up your spirits so you'd come back to work tomorrow. By the time you get out of there, it's usually after 7. After an 11 hour workday, you are on STRICT COMMISSION for how many windshields you sell. The owner initially offer a "safety net". What they don't tell you is that safety net is contingent on making minimal sales. If you don't, they will fire your before having to pay the previously promised safety net. They are a Smart Circle distributor. The parent company has numerous scam reports for a reason. The client is Express Glass Services. The company has a branch that was reported by the local news as a scam. m.news4jax.com/news/windshield-scam-hits-duval-county/35405828. The company also operates under American Events. Ever time they get bad reviews and scam reports, they just buy another DBA to operate under a new name. When you pour chocolate sprinkles on sh*!, it's still sh*!. Stay away!!!!!
