While vacationing in Key West, FL, my boyfriend and I were walking back to our hotel when a handsome young man approached us outside the Orogold Cosmetics store located on Duval Street. He handed me a sample packet of 24k moisturizer. He was very friendly and asked where we were from and if we were enjoying ourselves. He introduced himself as Jon and said he was from Israel. We were talking and joking with him and then he asked my boyfriend and I to come into the store to demonstrate an exfoliating product. We thought he was a nice, young guy and we also thought it would be nice to sit down after our long walk down Duval Street! Our plan was to sit about ten minutes then finish our walk back to the hotel.

Jon was very charming and did a very high pressure sales pitch and I agreed to purchase the exfoliating cream and the day moisturizing cream for $99....a bit more than the Arbonne cosmetics I generally use, but for the quality I thought it wasn't too far out of line. He then tried to get me to purchase another product for $50, but I declined. He then took 2 facial masks and 2 under eye masks out of a box on the next display and then put them on top of the two boxes I agreed to purchase and told us these were a free gift because we were so nice. As I was paying for the two items, he ran over and grabbed the other product (a night moisturizer) that he had wanted me to purchase and told me not to tell his associate, but he was throwing that in for the $99! He said to try it overnight and bring it back the next day if I didn't like it--he just wanted me to try this great product.

Jon then went over to his beautiful coworker and asked if she could try and eye treatment on my boyfriend and I--we agreed and were then escorted to two other chairs on the other side of the store. A sweet young girl, Shiran, took over. Jon then brought over my credit card receipt to sign as Shiran put the cream on my eyes. After her sales pitch and asking me to invest $1500 for products, my boyfriend and I said we needed to leave..she kept trying to sell by dropping the price down to $800! I told her that I was on a tight budget and limited income and finally I left. When I returned to the hotel, I saw my credit card receipt and saw that Jon added $50 more to my total but assured me the total was $99 when I signed my signature! I decided to returned all three products the next morning and even though I was told I could return the night moisturizer, I was told there are no refunds! There is not a  policy posted anywhere in the store stating this and the associates tell you products can be returned! In checking other complaints about Orogold, I see this seems to be this companies dishonest business practice. I think a class action lawsuit should be instituted and Orogold be held accountable for their unethical way of doing business.
