Complaint Review: OS trucks

How this has all played out.

I was looking for a truck in 2013 on truckpaper.com I followed a lead to OS trucks (ostrucks.com). Since then Jason Storm has been sending emails (info@ostrucks.com, sales@ostruck.com, jstorm@ostruck.com) showing me trucks within my specifications.

Beginning of February I got an email with a truck I was really interested in. Jason convinced me to take the second truck (you will see this in the previous email.) I said I could pay 10,000 then the balance when I knew trucks had been shipped. Payment was made on the 23rd of February payment received on the 25th of February. I received an email on the 24th asking if payment had been made. I have emailed several times asking if they had received money with no reply, I've also tried to phone but it goes to voice mail every time.

Since then I have been doing research, I should have done pre payment and have found the following:-

The bank which we transferred the money to received it on Wednesday the 25th of February, the woman that I spoke to said it looked like a genuine account and all looked normal. I noticed that it went into OS International and not OS trucks.

Jason Storm from what I have seen is associated with OS truck, OS international, OS group, OS tire. Everything I have found has a similar profile and despite employees between 50-100 there are only two phone numbers and no physical address.

The trucks

After hours of searching on the net I finally found the trucks which I had "bought". They are currently with Cts export in the Us, I have communicated with steen with this email steen@ctsexport.com, he does not know Jason Storm but was curious as to how he got a copy of the title which they have had all along.

My apologies it took me a couple of days to go through all the files and information. On March 1st of this year I was involved in a fatal car accident in a snow storm that took the life of my beloved wife. We understand your concerns but this is a small deal for us we are shipping anywhere from 5-20 units at a time. However the majority of our business is now in the neighboring countries such as Zambia and Mozambique due to the slowdown and deteriorating economic situation in Zimbabwe. Anyhow should you decide you still want to purchase these trucks let us know, please note they are now being advertised to all our customers in the region and are subject to availability.

Thank you for your mail.

You have to understand that when you buy 10 year old trucks that have a 1 million+ miles they are not going to run like new trucks and will develop some issues from general wear and tear so one has to be reasonable in that situation. We do everything we can to make sure that all the trucks have been inspected thoroughly, and any issues the trucks may have are fixed and corrected before any trucks are loaded and shipped. All trucks leave on their own power and we have never had any issues with customers, NDC was a fluke that they had an issue with one truck and we did our best to rectify that situation. We sent via fedex to them the ECM part at our cost as soon as we found out that the truck did not start upon arrival. That has NEVER happened that's why we did our best to rectify the situation.

On these 4 trucks offered to you, we did a physical and visual inspection also our mechanics drove them to our lot. They are pretty sound mechanically, dry engines and transmissions. All four were on the road working up until late August when we bought them. The pictures are representative of the exact trucks you will receive, I personally took those pictures a day ago as per your request. 

We sold Pioneer 80 trucks please free to talk to Simon Rudland (See attachment) . These trucks will sell quickly I am very confident of it because they are in great condition ! We sold 2 out of the 6 trucks within a day of receiving them on our lot, if you are serious please let me know immediately and provide us with your complete contact details.

I believe that NDC imported a few trucks from you and have had endless problems with them – please can you comment on that.

Can you also let me know who else has bought trucks from you that I could contact. The trucks look good in the photos, but it is hard to tell what they are like without physically seeing them
