My first complaint about Outback, and I'm only writing b/c the server couldn't seem to get the manager! We were a party of 8, so I'm sure we kept them busy! We ordered drinks and appetizers before our meal. With such a large party, I don't like to complain and ruin everyone elses dinner, but...Our cheese fries and onions were good, drinks were good, slow at coming, but good! We each ordered steaks, and I had to send mine back 2 times. I think our server was fairly new! We spent over $250 with the bar bill and all. My order came out all wrong! I ordered a filet mignon, and got a sirlon! It was way undercooked, so I did send it back. The server left me the potato so I ate it while waiting. I told my party not to wait but go ahead and eat. When I got my steak back, it was overdone!(same steak though). They were busy though! So the server ordered me another. This time I got the correct steak, but my party was done and I didn't want to hold them up. I did ask 2 times for the manager, but he never came. The server kept apologizing, and I felt sorry for her. I took my food home, and when I got home, my steak wasn't cooked properly again. Of course we'll still go back, but I felt bad because it was my choice to go there. I can't understand why the manager never came to the table. I think he should have/could have comped something, for our trouble, but he didn't. When you spend that much money, you kind of expect something.

I really don't understand, why you would bother taking the time to type a complaint about a restaurant you are going to go back to anyway?

I'd make some phone calls.

Wow, that's some story.

Did you try calling the mgr from home?

Try calling their Corp Headquarters and lodging a complaint with them. That would probably do some good. They might send you a coupon or gift card to go back.

I've gone to Outback several times with large groups and the MGR always comes to out table just to check on things: How's your dinner? is everything okay? etc etc...
