On September 1st, 2001 my company, Boots Etc, signed a twenty-four month contract with Outdoor Communication Structures (http://www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_gm0t5g) for a pair of billboard advertisements on Interstate 85. The contract, as signed, was to begin on May 1st, 2004 and expire on April 30th, 2006. The payment conditions were agreed upon and the contract was signed on September, 1st 2004 with Jeff C. Spillane. This contract contained no provisions for extending the service dates, and was to be renegotiated should we wish to retain the services offered.

This contract was not renegotiated and expired as stated therein on the 30th of April, 2006. However, without notice, our company continued to receive invoices from OCS, Inc. Due to a clerical oversight, these invoices were paid in full. These invoices continued until November of 2007, totaling more than $18,000.

Later, upon recognition of our over-payment, our company attempted to contact the account manager. On repeated occasions, our calls went unanswered. When we finally did receive an answer, we were told that the issue was being reviewed. It was at this point that our phone calls were entirely ignored. Any call placed from a number associated with Boots Etc was systematically ignored.

We attempted to contact them from other numbers, and even though they accepted our call, once we informed them of the issue were told someone would contact us and our issue dismissed.

It has been more than a year since we were told that someone would review this problem and get in touch with us and nothing has been done. We have made every effort to rectify this situation in a professional manner and have been unable to do so.

It is due to this openly unprofessional attitude and unsound business practice that we post this grievance publicly.
