in June an African-American door to door sales lady came to our neighbor and selling magazines subscriptions at reasonabe prices. we listen to her story on why she was doing this to get into a nice neighborhood such as ourselves. We listen to how bad her life was and how she wanted something better for her and her children . We thought we can help her out so our family of 7 decided to pick some magazines and purchased them at a total of 150.00 and waited for them but nothing came to our house.
After a while I forgot about them and I came accross my receipt for the magazines and tried calling the number that was on receipt, it was disconnected and another number was written under that one and no answer.
I'm really disappointed that someone who can see we have a large family and told her that we have a child who is autistic and me being disable to take advantage of us like that. I do have my reciept and her name is on it as well, but who knows it could be wrong. We wrote the check out to the company too, And they did cash it. I have that as well on my account.
So a word of advise don't take from sales go out and buy it yourselves. Its not worth the rip off !! I do feel bad for the door sales people that are not lieing and trying to do business with the world this is sad.
