Well-dressed black male came knocking. Explained his plight of being father of 3 (showed pictures of the kids) and just trying to get on his feet. Stated he was in first place of these magazine sales and only needed a certain number of points more to be successful. Plead with my husband to buy just $20 more than our initial $60 agreement so that he could go home for the night. He chose the magazines based on cost and topic and explained they would be donated to Children's Hospital in Seattle.

He stated he was going to start his new job at Safeway on Hwy 99 in Lynnwood/Everett.

Very friendly and convincing. Even came back for his pen.

Just wanted to add that we were unable to confirm any of the information about the Overachiever Enterprises. The phone number that the man wrote down for us is not in use and it's area code is in Beverly Hills. There was no way to confirm the legitimacy of this company and this man's paperwork and statements. We cancelled our check when we couldn't contact the company to get more details on where the magazines would be 'donated'.

Apparently from other comments about the group, we got off easy with cancelling our check and just being out $20.
