Complaint Review: Overflow Trucking

On Feb 28, 2013 my business partner Jorge and I purchased a 2001 Peterbuilt Conventional Semi Truck.

Jorge is currently the owner on the title. We initiated a verbal agreement with Christopher ( Chris ) Bowles to start a Partnership Corporation. Jorge and I paid $20,000.00 in order to purchase and repair the (Blue) Peterbuilt truck (T1) for the new Limited Liability Corporation. Solid Overflow Trucking, LLC

After the purchase, we agreed to put the registration in the name of Mr. Bowles' current company, Overflow Trucking, Inc, until Jorge and I were able to get the documentation for the new company drawn up. This would allow us to operate the vehicle until we had all of the documentation to run the truck under Solid Overflow Trucking, LLC. No formal contract was ever drawn up to finance this vehicle or sell to Chris Bowles or Overflow Trucking, Inc under any circumstance.

After purchasing the truck, Chris refused to sign any agreement and reneged on the verbal contract to form a separate corporation. He claimed that the truck was now his and refused to return the property or pay the $20,000 that is owed for the purchase of the vehicle and repairs. He has also refuse to share profits earned from the use of the truck as agreed upon from the original agreement. 

We have contacted Mr. Bowles several times in order to collect the debt owed and/or to return the vehicle to its proper owners. To date, Chris Bowles has refused to return our truck and/or reconcile the situation. He has been in possession of the truck for more than 4 months. He has avoided our calls and when we brought the police to his office, he refused to come outside and talk to us. Chris is a crooked thief and a liar.

At this point, we request that the following possession be returned to its rightful owners.

1) 2001 Peterbuilt Conventional Truck (Blue) Vin # XXXXXXX66621 (Marked T1)

We have sent a letter of intent to repossess via certified mail to Overflow Trucking, Inc owner Chris Bowles on June 17, 2013 and have notified the courts/police. He has been ducking us ever since.

We have the title in hand and can provide all supporting documentation. If you are currently driving this truck, give us a call. We will hire you directly to work for us and pay weekly or pay you $1000 REWARD for returning truck if you do not wish to work for us. If you can give us information on the whereabouts of the truck and we collect, we will pay $500 REWARD. No questions asked.
