I attempted to purchase some steel rollup doors from an online company in Oct of 2022 called Overhead Door Outlet. They emailed back promply after I filled out their online order form. They stated the price, and also stated they only take checks. No credit cards. You had to write a check, scan it, and email it to them. This should have been a red flag, but I missed it. 5 months later, and after trying to contact them via the listed phone number and email address, with no success. I knew I had been scammed. The Better Business Bureau has over 62 (and counting) complaints agiants this sham company as of 2/18/23. The name on the company is David Delaporte, and his property in Florida is under a name Lius Dias. Pretty sure they are all stolen identities. He has over 18 companies under the name David Delaporte in MO, FL and CO. Most likely many more under other names. Always check with the BBB or this website to find out if an online company is legit.
