overstock.com delibtarly sent cheaper model then replaced it with DEAD computer and deducted 90.00 out of 260.00 Internet, Utah
i ordered a Dell D620 160gb hard drive computer what i received was a D620 with a 60gb hard drive a much cheaper model after much calling ,writing and chatting with Overstock.com they agreed to send me a return label and return it at their cost. they suggested they send me the correct one and would arrive within 5 buss days . That was very important as i was leaving Fl to Ca for 4 weeks and needed the comp for my travels. comp did not arrive on time and i had to call Fedex who said they had my comp not proper add so they could not deliver after many phone calls it was delivered friday eve with an improper add . i opened the box removed the plastic wrapper only to find a broken and abused computer the lid hinges were worn out and would not support the lid the screen was very badly scratched and the case showed a cracked corner where it had been dropped much of the case paint had worn through and bare plastic showing the microsoft sticker was removed from another comp and was illegable due it being scratched up . i called them there and then and was told they would give me a full refund . i delayed my trip so i could go the next day to UPS and send this piece of junk back. it is my firm belief that they sent a cheaper substitute originally and the sent a dead computer knowing that they would deduct almost 100.00 from a 267.00 sale these people are STINKING CROOKS charging me for the return shipping as deduducting more than a third of my money for junk they knew would be returned and make a net 100.00 for sending out this dead comp i have pics and the label twith the incomplete add looking to participate in a class action lawsuit to put these bums out of bussiness
