1st I am NOT NOT associated with Overstock.com in any way, shape, manner or form. I do not own stock in their company - nothing. I was just another customer who placed an order for a used laptop computer, a lenovo to be exact.

it was loaded with windows XP & of course u have to type in the product key. I did & i got an error message. After the 5th try, I gave up & called the company. To fix the problem, they sent me a brand new XP update software at no charge. I tried using the update software to no avail - nothing worked. i had this computer & couldn't even use it - I was ticked off.

I called customer service & told them: i was exasperated trying to fix this laptop & wanted to return the laptop. The customer service rep gave me NO argument. She did give me the directions on how to return the laptop. I slapped the return label on the box & it was picked up. My credit card was credited with the proper amount - no problem.

Everybody at Overstock I dealt with treated me courteously & in a professional manner. I would order from them again based upon my previous experience with them.

I can't explain why some people had horrid encounters with overstock.com.
I did not.
