Overton, Russell, Doerr & Donovan Illegitimate collection action Clifton Park, New York
They have sent several letters attempting to collect a supposed overdue amount ($64.00) for services at a hospital. I was there on the day in question, but the final amount I had to pay the hospital was actually much less, which I paid a year ago by check, which then was reconciled with my bank statement (the check was cashed against my acct).
I already informed ORDD that I paid the full amount of my bill, but I keep getting collection letters from them. I just got another one this week and the thought dawned on me to see what I can find out about them on the internet to see if they are legitimate business or not. That is when I found a previous entry on them.
I paid the hospital bill last year and I informed ORDD that I already paid the hospital but they keep sending me collection letters. This is not the way a legitimate business does business.

If the hospital, which is ORDD's client, FAILS to report that YOUR account has been paid off, it is due to negligence on the hospital's part. All you have to do is prove that it's been paid with a copy of a cancelled check front and back...easy. Sometimes you have to do other people's work for them in order for you to cover your own hide, but you and I, as adults, understand that THIS IS LIFE. Good luck next time and always make sure you're COVERED.
