Basically they will not remove me from there collections.I went to the emegency room signed in and walked out. After 4 years i was contacted buy this collections agency i told tham i was never seen at the hospital. They told me to contact the hospital .I contacted the hospital and told them if i was seen that they would have my current adress and my insurance info. The hospital bascilly looked at the sign in sheet and assumed i was seen there..They ask me for my insurance info so they could bill the insurance company,so i did.2 years later it is still on my credit report.i called the collection angency again and they said they dont have the claim # for the insurance compay.so i called insurance company again and i was told that no claim was ever filed. So the collections agency never filed the claim and told me the claim was denied. The collections should have the claim # if they filed the claim.iwas told by this collections agency that they dont have that infomation. If they filed the claim they should. They are very rude and will not listen to anything you say. except...F*&k you pay me the money

Number one, if you were billed, you were most likely triaged and decided to leave for reason unknown.  In this circumstance, you will still have to pay for "signing in" and/or having your vitals taken because this is still a service provided to you.  I find it HIGHLY unlikely that the hospital is going to bill you if you had NOTHING done, you may not have had what you WANTED initially, but you STILL HAD A SERVICE provided, whatever it may have been.  And yes, of course they will not remove you from their collections until the debt is paid in full as you are not their client.  ORDD is paid by the hospital to perform a service, and that service is to get the hospital's money to them.  The best ORDD can do for you is take your insurance information, send it back to the hospital for billing and you can cross your fingers that the insurance company will pay it after it's been so long.  If not, you are still responsible for your debt.  Point blank.  AND, I know these people, they aren't going to tell you F*** YOU, give us the money!  You were probably cursing at them or being extremely rude instead of listening to the help they were trying to give and somebody told you that the debt needs to get paid...by insurance or your pocket.  You probably weren't happy you didn't get your own way and are now throwing a fit.  I remember callers such as yourself.  Good luck in the future.  P.S.-  They do collect monies for the hospital because they provide a GOOD SERVICE.  And they will 100% fix an err if the bill was paid prior to credit reporting via proof of payment or if insurance has already paid it, you can provide an explanation of benefits from the ins. co. and problem solved.  If there was ever a mistake, they always fixed it.
