My husband and I decided to sign up with Owners.com to put our property on For Sale By Owner online. On Sept. 18, 2011, we agreed to buy the Showcase package for $295 from Owners.com which agreed to put our ad on Zillow.com, Realtor.com, Yahoo.com, Trulia and MSN.
Our ad appeared nicely on Owners.com and Zillow.com., but nowhere could we find it on Yahoo Real Estate, Trulia and MSN Real Estate. A few days later (Sept. 24, 2011), our ad began to appear on Realtor.com. And problems started.

On Zillow.com and on Realtor.com our ad was changed to being  listed under TriStar Realty as a broker and its agents name (Carl Wuesthube) as my listing agent. Also it was linked to TriStar Realty website under the name Point2, with only half of my house description. We received two complaints from potential buyers, saying it confused them because it did not look like For Sale By Owner at all. I immediately contacted Owners.com Customer Service and spoke with Ali. He said TriStar Realty is just a partner of Owners.com, and he cannot fix the problem. When I called TriStar Realty, I talked to Carl Wuesthube about the problem; he said he cannot remove his name from Zillow.com unless we remove our ad from Realtor.comcontrary to our agreement with Owners.com. On 9/29 we asked him to remove our ad from Realtor.com so his name and his brokers name would not be on our ad on Zillow.com.

On Oct. 03, 2011, Mr. Wuesthube removed his listing from Zillow.com and Realtor.com. The same day, when we checked Zillow.com and found out our house was not listed on Zillow.com as for sale anymore. We immediately contacted Ali again; he said that this would be corrected on Zillow.com within 24 hours. On Oct. 04, 2011, no correction was done.
On Oct. 05, 2011, we called Owners.com again and talked to Patricia, who claimed Owners.com system was down: we would have to call back the next day. On Oct. 06, 2011, we called and talked to Patricia again. She promised to email corporate office in Florida??? and it would take two to three days to correct the problem.
On Oct. 10, 2011, the problem was not corrected. We called and talked to Patricia again. This time she said she would contact Zillow.com directly and call us back right away.

We waited and waited for more than one hour. She did not call back and we had to call her again. Her answer was that she had not received any response from Zillow.com. We asked to talk to a manager; her answer: the manager was not available.

We also sent an email to help@owners.com on Oct. 4, 2011, but no one emailed us back until Oct. 10, 2011. It was a generic answer: problem corrected. In fact, there was no correction on Zillow.com. Until now, there is no response from Owners.com
It seems after the agreement and payment, Owners.com did not perform its duties and care about its customers anymore.
We regret to choose Owers.com to advertise to sell our home.

owners.com Bad Service

#2Author of original report

Fri, November 11, 2011

After I wrote a complaint about owners.com on October 11, 2011 on Ripoff Report Website, I also sent certified letter to its corporate offices in San Franscisco, California and Boca Raton, Florida.

On October 26 one of its Customer Service Managers named Charisa, sent me an email said that she received a report from ripoff.com and everything was corrected and requested me to remove the complaint from Ripoff.com. Actually, the errors were corrected partially, until few more emails exchange with Charisa, they were  corrected completely on November 02, 2011.

I recognized two things: 1/ owners.com ignored my certified letters and only responded to the report was sent to its corporate office from ripoff.com (Thank you so much, Ripoff Report) .2/ For all emails she exchanged with me, there were no words of sorry or apologize and no admission of  wrong doing or bad services, but repeatly asking me to remove or take down the complaint I wrote on ripoff.com.

Conclusion: mistakes were corrected but I am sorry to have to say BAD Service and Rip off your money after you signed up with owners.com  still be the same in my complaint.
