Owners Courier Lynn Noren. DOT 1788710 under contract with UPS MAIL INOVATIONS, violates the FMCSR on a regular basis, rents trucks from IDEAL LEASE and uses their DOT number when cited company has had 5 major accidents, does not drug tes salt lake , Utah
Owners Courier in Salt Lake City is run out of the car of Lynn Noren. Drivers never see a place of business except UPS MAIL INOVATIONS. Drives are not drug tested, or road tested. The company does not own any trucks, it rents trucks from IDEAL LEASE in Salt Lake. Lynn Noren refuses to display his dot numbers on the rental trucks as required by the FMCSR. He originally told drives not to stop at the scales, stating that since the trucks are rented you did not have to stop. He pays in CASH, does not pay workers comp. He will not say it directly but he does not want drivers keeping a log book and if a truck is late because of weather or break down, he encourages drivers to run over the log book. Drives to not start their logs at the start of the work day, they drive trucks to and from SAP Brothers to fuel and do not update their log books.......if they did they would not be able to complete the run under the allowed log book time.
Example..........Owners Courier runs relay load for UPS mail inovations. Truck waits to get loaded for 90 min, then fuels for 30 minutes, then leaves salt lake and drives 6 hours to Las Vegas and waits for truck B coming from Rancho Cucamonga California.
It takes 6 hours to get to Las Vegas, and then truck A waits for 2 hours for Truck B. Truck A then drives back to Salt Lake 6 hours. This goes on everyday, and The DOT does nothing about it because they only see IDEAL LEASE DOT numbers on the tracktor.
Owners Courier has Jack knive Accidents, a car of College Students was hit in on I-15 in Southern Utah. No Accident was charged to Owner Courier as the DOT numbers are never displayed on the truck.

False report regarding Owner Couriers, LLC
#2UPDATE Employee
Tue, August 05, 2014
As a driver for the company, I can definitively say that this report is false and misleading.
1. Owner Couriers, LLC, is run out of an office like any other company, with two actual locations used for office operations and administration purposes. The owner, Lynn Noren, does use his vehicle to conduct a small portion of his business, such as meeting with drivers to give them paperwork necessary for their trip documentation.
2. Business operations, a portion of truck maintenance, and some vehicle storage are all at a fixed address location. Because the company has business contracts with multiple customers, some of the operations are located near to where a particular contract is executed; nothing unusual with that. All locations are owner and customer sanctioned.
3. The majority of the tractors and all of the trailers are company owned, with a few additional tractors being operated under lease. In all cases the tractors have the company name and DOT number listed on the side, as required by law. All vehicles are lawfully registered with each of the States in which they are operated, as well as having IFTA registration; additional individual State permits have been obtained as needed for lawful operation.
4. All drivers maintain, and are required to submit, driver logs to the company owner. Internal audits of driver logs are conducted regularly, and drivers are contacted to correct any deficiencies or supply missing logs. Moreover, drivers are required to submit trip reports recording mileage driven, States driven in, highways used, and dates associated with the above.
5. Drivers are drug tested at the owner's expense. Period. No exceptions. Drivers are evaluated on their performance and safety, with some drivers having been dismissed due to poor safety and DOT compliance. While there may have been some deficiencies in monitoring in the past, Owner Couriers has made an effort to correct any problems and maintain compliance with DOT regulations and standards.
6. As to whether a driver is staying in compliance with FMCSA requirements, that is the individual responsibility of the driver. As noted above in item 4, all driver's logs are audited. If a driver is falsifying logs, then responsibility for such action lies with them and not the owner. From personal experience, it can be stated that the owner has instructed drivers to maintain legitimate logs.
Any other concerns about Owner Couriers' operations can be addressed to the owner, Lynn Noren. The company's address and phone number are available through an Internet search.
This rebuttal is submitted by a driver of his own free will and choice, and without any prior knowledge of nor at the request of the owner.
