Complaint Review: Pacific Modeling & Acting Academy - Owner:Steve Thompson

Our son saw a commercial on Nickelodeon for "auditions" and advertising "Do you want to be on Drake and Josh?" My son begged us to take him to the audition. After the audition we were called back the next day to meet with rep from school and our son was "selected" to enroll. Of course we thought we asked all the right questions and even asked if "everyone" that auditioned was called back....We ended up paying $2450 up front.

We were given a course outline and a packet and set up for 1 class a month for 6 months. The catelogue and interview with the rep informed us that there would be 3 auditions with agents at the end of the session and the names of these agents were in the hand outs. There is also a picture of Mario Lopez and talks of celebrity workshops.

Our son had his 1st class Sunday 5/4/08 at the Marriot Hotel on West Harbor Drive in San Diego. On 5/30/08 we recieved an email saying the company closed and bankruptcy is being considered. Not to our surprise there has been no response from Pacific Acting and Modeling and no offer of refund.
