They placed a job ad in the paper and made it appear to be an interview. As they excepted job applicants into the work place I realized they were just sending everyone that would agree to work the hours into the work area. They offered an hourly rate until you collect commisions and we were suppose to get paid for the time of the interview. I left when I realized they did not send me in the work room for a job they felt I was qualified for, but a scam in which they were sending everyone that was there into the work room. Still with the mind to collect my money for them wasting my time and gas. This place was atleast 20 miles from my home and I drove out there three times to collect my check and the people were rude and always had an excuse why my check was not there. After the third try I gave up. Here's where the scam comes in. I received a W-2 form for money I never received. It makes me wonder how much money they are claiming to have paid out, which they did not. I am going to follow up on this! Don't let these people get away with this if they did it to you.

I worked for Monarch Promotional Group, Inc. That is what they called themselves in Columbus, Ohio. I only worked for one week. I quit because the job was very scandalous, and I felt like I was being over powered. I was 2 hours away from my home, and without my own transportation, so I had to comply. When I tried to contact them a month later to claim my earnings, they supposedly "moved to another location, or went out of business". There was always an excuse when I called. I still have that w-2, and they still owe me over $600. I have been unable to locate or talk to anyone. I eventually gave up until I came upon this. I am willing to hire an attorney and put these bastards behind bars where they belong. They took food out of my child's mouth, and I am very angry about being taken advantage of in this manner. I have soooo many stories, and I will go on with whoever would like to hear them. These people are scam artists. They portray themselves as college graduates, advertising executives, and one lady even said she was changed to this career from the funeral business! They target college age consumers, and they do it very untactfully. I am a professional, college educated female, who was just looking for tempory work to hold me over while going to school. I noticed many other "college students" working for them as well. I also believe they are guilty of identity theft. But that is a whole separate story.

Did the W-2 form they sent you, have on it the amount you were to be paided? Was any of it withheld? You can call the IRS and tell them that this company gave you a false W-2 statement. Hopefully the IRS will audit them and find out that they falsefied there tax statements. If this is the case, this company is in real trouble. They gave you false information and that is very wrong. This is one way you can get back at them.
