Pacific Theaters Aka ArcLight Cinemas ripoff Refused to honor & accept valid unrestricted movie pass; also IGNORED complaint filed by the Better Business Bureau Los Angeles California
Presented valid movie pass to Pacifics Arclight Cinema's Dome on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, CA. Pass was good for January only, presented on 1/28/04. No restrictions nor exclusions were printed on the movie pass. It was issued by Pacific Theaters.
They said Arclight Cinemas was not a part of Pacific Theaters, although other Pacific Theater passes bear the specific restriction "not good at Arclight theaters." Arclight Cinema also bears the same corporate address as Pacific Theaters.
They were very rude and insisted that they had no relationship with Pacific Theaters, an obvious lie.
I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (bureau ID: 13189985), which they failed to respond to. The BBB also sent a second notice to them to respond to, which they also ignored. Pacific Theaters now has an unsatisfactory rating with the Better Business Bureau due to their lack of response and cooperation with them about this complaint.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

I am former General Manager for Decurion Corporation with owns and operates Pacific Theatres, Consolidated Amusemets and Arclight. I managed the Arclight for the first 5 months of operaton. Arclight is NOT a Pacific Theatre it is own entity, and has "nothing" to do with Pacific Thetares operatons, polices, and passes..even though it is owned by the same company. The reason it is was open and named Arclight is to define it from other theare chains incuding Pacific. Being as it has guidlines of 18 and over at all times, bar, cafe, preffered seating ect. No passes from Pacific were ever excepted, and no where on the building does it refer and or mention Pacific.
You compaint is invalid, and there only response to the BBB if made was actually what I stated. Just becasue they two are owned by the same compnays does not mean they oparate togeather.
Just because I own a McDonalds and a Burger King does that mean I will take one coupon at anouthr location? they are not inter-changeable correct? I will also tell you they DO NOT nor have they EVER had a unsatisfactory rating with BBB.
Your just upset that they did except your pass and you had to pay $9.75 for your ticket, so you make an invalid complaint. If you actually checked instead of compaining about you would have found out you where wrong, plain and simple.
