Pacific Webworks - PW Eauction - IT Eauction classic rip off Salt Lake City Utah
Add me to the list of those victimized by this (these?) companies. I am not entirely sure how I ever got signed up with Pacific Webworks, apparently I did. So far I have been billed $49.90 three times. Each time the payee was a different entity: Pacific Webworks, PW Eauction and IT Eauction. This first item was on my July Visa statement. I emailed Pacific Webworks. They emailed back as follows: "You requested the Ebay toolkit of information on 5/21/07 with a 14 day trial period...after 14 days you are billed the normal monthly rate of $49.90 which is disclosed in the terms and conditions given during your sign up process and also on the confirmation page." As far as I know, I never received a confirmation page.
So far, I have contact Visa and they are going to reverse the charges, but it will take a while. I am also mailing a consumer complaint to the state of Utah today. If any of you would like to do the same, you can find the form at www.consumerprotection.utah.gov.
Also, as soon as I send this, I am going to complain to the Salt Lake City BBB.
