My family and I are very un-happy :( with the service we received from Pack & Load Services.  We basically spent all day the following day repacking the POD to get more stuff inside, thus defeating the purpose for which we hired "professional" movers.  There were tremendous amounts of gaps (I took pictures) and wasted space inside the POD, and the packers did not put any thought or effort into maximizing the limited amount of space.  Additionally there were a myriad of other issues with this service order.

1) We ordered packers to load PODs and was not informed that they charge a large sum of money for each POD.  I was lead to believe I was only paying the single POD amount for the day.  There was no mention of a "per-POD" charge.  Imagine my surprise when I learned the day of the move that I basically had to pay double what I expected.

2) The packers were 1.5h late, unpforessional (swearing in front of my children a few times), completely unprepared and ill-equipped for the job.  They had an appliance dolly and a couple pieces of tissue paper... that is it.  I had to go and buy them some of the heavy lifting straps so they could lift some of the heavier items.  I supplied them with all the blankets and their furniture wrapping skills need a lot of improvement.  I basically had to wrap all the furniture myself to protect my wood finishes correctly.  They had no tools to disassemble furniture.
         A) what I was told and what happened didn't line up well.
         B) I was told the packers would disassemble furniture, wrap it, and logically and methodically pack the POD efficiently and securely with proper weight distribution. As per sales "Chris".  Chis needs to better understand what his company actually supplies:
         C) What I got were packers that disassembled one piece of furniture at my request, after I provided them the tools (and some stupid crack about using a chain saw to disassemble it).  I had to wrap all the furniture myself.  A poorly loaded POD that I had to re-pack myself.  Not weight distributed by any stretch of the imagination.  Basically nothing what I was sold.

The salesmanship was far over-promising, and the packing service was very sloppy.  I basically lost an entire day of my moving experience because I had to go and re-pack the back end of both PODs; again defeating the purpose of hiring Pack & Load in the first place, and 2 more days because I am having to make an additional 600 mile trip & back again to get one last U-Haul load since the packers were unable to efficiently load everything the first time.  I'm very disappointed with this experience and would strongly encourage the general public to never utilize this over-priced, under-delivered service as you will only be meet with high-hopes and extreme disappointment.  I can't wait to see how much of my furniture was damaged.  We'll find out next week.  FYI... I will be unloading the POD myself to avoid any further frustration.
