Palisades Collection, LLC of New Jersey has recently sent me a letter threatening to turn me over to the credit bureaus for a bill allegedly owed to AT&T Wireless. Last year, in March, I received the same type of notice from S.A.M. Collections and had to go back through my records to prove that I had paid this bill in March of 2003. After securing a copy of the cancelled check to AT&T from my bank, I proceeded to mail S.A.M. Collections a copy, along with a letter, all mailed certified return receipt.

I also mailed the same information to AT&T Wireless. I never heard again from either one of these companies. This month, again in March (coincidence?) I have received this letter from Palisades Collection, LLC. I'm tired of having to prove this account was paid in full. Why does the burden of proof continue to fall on me, and why am I continually harassed in this manner by AT&T and their flunky collection agencies? If Palisades attacks my credit report I will file a lawsuit.
