I recieved a collection letter from Palisades Collection LLC for an AT & T acct. I never Had an Acct with AT&T wireles. So I sent a letter telling them that it was a disputed acct.

I was in shock to see it on my credit report so far I have found a person responsible for servive for my deformation of charactor small claim. That is Palisades Collection LLC,c/o CT Coprporation,818 W.7th Street, Los Angeles , CA 90017 ( this will work for victums in California.

I have also contacted the district attorneys in both Pennsylvania & New Jersey where They Have Physical address.

Michael,

Palisades is notorious for these kind of things. My fist suggestions are, stay off of the phone with them and send them a limited cease & decest letter explaining to them that the only contact is to be through US mail. In addition to sending them the C&D letter also send them a Debt Validation letter. Send both of these certified return reciept mail. Make sure in your validation letter that you explain to them that you asking for validation and NOT verification.

Go to this website: http://www.creditboards.com/forums/ and read the Newbies section. A lot of your questions will be answered there on how to handle Palisades and collection agencies in general. It's free, you may have to register.

I hope that helps.
