PALISADES COLLECTION Fraud - collection just showed up - Never heard of the company Ripoff Nationwide
I check my credit report every 2 weeks, and this week a brand new collection pops up yet showing collection for the past 4 years.
This company, PALISADES COLLECTION LLC states that I owe $889 and the term of the agreement was 1 month. I called Experian who could not provide any contact information for this company or any information about the account.
I have disputed this item through Experian, however now I have to go check the other 2 agencies to see if it's hit on those as well. It sad that someone can just set up a collection on your account in the credit world without verification.
I have not incurred these charges, I have no clue who this company is or who they represent nor have they contacted me in any form about this "debt".

Palisades Collections is a JUNK DEBT buyer. They purchase mostly very old time barred debts. They have a very long and terrible reputation for pulling this kind of thing with credit bureau reporting.
Unfortunately, these unethical actions are not criminal, but should be.
You will need to file a complaint at FTC.gov and send writtem disputes to all 3 credit bureaus and to Palisades.
Send all correspondence by certified mail, return reciept requested, and put the certified# itself on the letter, and keep a copy for yourself.
You can sue under the provisions of the FDCPA for up to $1000 per violation plus costs. There are attorneys available at the NACA that will do this reasonable or even free.
